Fiji Transfer Checklist: What to Arrange Before Your Flight

Work through the transfer in stages and keep proof of what is confirmed. This checklist helps distinguish a completed booking from an unanswered request before you board.

Fiji Transfer Checklist: What to Arrange Before Your Flight

Before flying to Fiji, verify the local arrival date, flight number, exact destination, passengers, luggage, accepted special requests, complete price and payment status. Save the provider’s meeting and delay instructions offline, confirm room access separately and make sure the arriving traveller can use the plan. An unanswered request should remain marked pending.

Use a checklist that records evidence

A tick is useful only when it means something specific. Mark a task confirmed when you have the relevant accepted answer or document, pending when a response is still needed, and not required when the question genuinely does not apply. Sending an enquiry is progress, but it should not be mistaken for receiving the arrangement.

Keep the checklist short enough to review before boarding. Store the detailed correspondence separately and link each important item to the current confirmation. This prevents a long message thread from hiding the one unresolved question that matters, such as whether a requested seat or unusual bag can be accommodated.

Assign a person to each task if several adults are organising the trip. One can check flights, another the room arrival and another the transport details. Everyone still needs access to the essential final plan, so the holiday does not depend on one organiser’s phone.

Check the flight that lands in Fiji

Record the flight number, arrival airport, local arrival date and scheduled arrival time from the current airline itinerary. Do not copy the date you leave home without checking the date you reach Fiji. Overnight travel and international date changes can make those different.

If the trip includes more than one flight, identify the service relevant to the pickup. The final arrival time at a later destination does not tell the Nadi driver when you land there. A codeshare or itinerary change also deserves a check against the operating service shown in the current travel record.

Mark this item confirmed only when the transfer provider has the correct details. If the airline changes the itinerary, reopen the checklist item and obtain an updated response. A corrected flight ticket does not automatically amend an independent vehicle reservation.

Verify the destination you need on arrival night

Copy the full hotel, resort or apartment name and address from the accepted accommodation booking. Check the first night, especially if you will later move to a better-known resort. The airport transfer should end at the property where you actually need to arrive, not the main headline destination of the holiday.

Confirm the entrance or reception location where it differs from the general map pin. For private accommodation, obtain the host’s arrival instructions. A driver needs a usable destination; a broad label such as Nadi, Denarau or Coral Coast is not enough.

If an island hotel is involved, identify the separate boat or flight and its check-in requirements. Mark the ground segment and onward segment as different items. A road transfer to a marina does not prove that a boat reservation exists or that the two services are connected under one booking.

Check every traveller and the actual equipment

List adults and children accurately, then describe large cases, smaller bags, a stroller, mobility aid and any special equipment. Ask the provider to accept the complete combination. Passenger capacity alone does not confirm luggage space or the suitability of a particular vehicle.

For child seating or assistance needs, record the specific request and the provider’s response. A note typed into a form remains pending until accepted. If you plan to bring your own equipment, confirm how it will be transported and used rather than assuming the arrangement is automatic.

Taxitics offers nine approved standard passenger combinations with the same configured zone base fare. Larger or different arrangements require an enquiry. Do not alter the real party to fit the form; an inaccurate booking can fail to describe the service you need.

Review the service before the price

Read the quote against the route and group you have just checked. Confirm whether the journey is direct, includes an agreed stop, has multiple drop-offs or involves a specific waiting arrangement. Those details define what the provider is offering.

For Taxitics configured fixed fares, selected pickup and drop-off zones determine the base price. Exact free-text addresses identify the locations and are not extra distance-based price inputs. If a route has no available configured fare, seek an accepted enquiry response rather than treating the absence of a price as an inclusion.

Check the current complete amount and any stated conditions before paying. Do not calculate your own child percentage discount or assume that an online promotion applies to the selected service. Use the accepted quote for your actual booking.

Verify payment status and change terms

Record what has been paid, what remains due if anything, the currency and the accepted payment method. Keep a receipt or confirmation matched to the booking. A reservation email does not necessarily mean the balance is settled, while a payment receipt should still be checked against the correct date and service.

Read the cancellation, rescheduling and waiting terms before they become relevant. Ask which contact channel should be used and what notice is required. Do not assume free changes, a guaranteed refund or unlimited waiting from a broad private-transfer description.

If someone else pays, ensure the arriving traveller understands the payment status without needing access to unnecessary financial details. A concise note such as the accepted balance and method is more useful at pickup than an unexplained screenshot of a transaction.

Save a meeting plan that works offline

The confirmation should explain where to go after arrival formalities, how to identify the agreed contact and how to communicate if you cannot find each other. Save it offline. Keep the provider’s name and number alongside the exact destination so the plan remains usable without reopening several websites.

Fiji Airports’ information service can help with general airport directions. The transport provider is the contact for the status of its booking. Knowing that distinction helps you ask an effective question if the meeting is unclear.

Share the instructions with another adult and agree a regrouping point if your party separates during arrival. Do not allow several people to send contradictory readiness messages. A single clear contact can report when everyone and the bags have completed the arrival process.

Complete official arrival preparation separately

Review the Fiji Immigration entry guidance for each traveller’s circumstances and the operating airline’s requirements. A transport confirmation does not establish eligibility to travel. Different passports or personal circumstances within one group may need separate checks.

Review the Biosecurity Authority of Fiji’s guidance for food, gifts, used equipment and other items in your bags. Follow the required declarations and ask the authority if unsure. Do not leave the contents of a shared suitcase unknown to the person carrying it.

Keep these document checks private and share only information needed for each task. The driver needs accurate journey and contact details; border officials or the airline may need other records. A useful checklist can confirm completion without copying sensitive document numbers into a group chat.

Check the handover at the accommodation

Confirm the accepted room-access arrangement, including an early or late arrival where relevant. Ask the hotel about luggage storage or the host about keys. A vehicle reaching the destination cannot guarantee that an unanswered accommodation request will be resolved.

Keep essentials accessible for the period before room access. This can include personal items, a practical change kit and the current hotel confirmation within the airline’s baggage rules. The aim is to avoid opening every suitcase at reception because the item you need is buried at the bottom.

If the property provides separate arrival instructions for your booking, send the relevant entrance information to the transfer provider. Keep any private access code limited to the people who need it. The destination should be clear without oversharing unrelated accommodation details.

Share one current version of the plan

Combine the essential details into a single arrival sheet and label it clearly as current. Remove or mark old pickup times and superseded hotel names. A family can make every correct arrangement and still create confusion by using different versions at the airport.

For relatives on separate flights, create separate arrival records. Do not combine them into one pickup unless the provider has accepted the waiting, group and luggage arrangement. Each arriving party should know whom to contact independently.

If you change providers, resolve the original reservation through its terms. A backup plan is useful; multiple unresolved bookings can create costs and confusion. Keep the final checklist tied to the arrangement you actually intend to use.

Review changes before boarding

Before the final flight to Fiji, check for an airline schedule change and any new provider message. If a material detail changes, contact the relevant business with the booking reference and revised information. Ask for acceptance rather than assuming that sending a message completes the change.

For a pickup within 48 hours, Taxitics asks travellers to call or message to check availability. Treat that as an availability step, not a guarantee of an immediate reply or confirmed vehicle. Keep the item pending until the actual arrangement is accepted.

Do a final count of bags and make sure the arrival sheet is available offline. Then the checklist has done its job. You can travel with a clear understanding of what is settled and what, if anything, still needs a response.

Keep the final record simple

Ready-to-travel item Evidence to retain
Correct flight and Fiji date Current itinerary matched to pickup
Exact destination and room access Accommodation confirmation and instructions
People, bags and required equipment Provider’s accepted response
Price, payment and terms Complete quote and payment record
Meeting and delay process Offline instructions and contact details

For more detail on what happens after landing, use the arrival documents and biosecurity guide. For the trip home, review how to set a resort pickup around the departing flight. Keep those supporting guides separate from the concise record you will actually use on travel day.

Once the checklist is clear, check Taxitics options using the accurate journey details. For travel within 48 hours, call or message +679 840 6660.

Frequently asked questions

What must be confirmed before I rely on a Fiji transfer booking?

The correct local date and flight, exact destination, passengers, luggage, required equipment, complete service and price, payment status, meeting process and relevant terms.

Is a child-seat request the same as a confirmed seat?

No. Keep it pending until the provider explicitly accepts a suitable arrangement and availability.

Should I use the date I depart from home?

Use the Fiji arrival date for the flight being met. Check the current airline itinerary because it may differ from the departure date.

What should I do when an airline changes my flight?

Update the transport provider and any affected hotel or onward connection, then obtain confirmation of the revised arrangement.

What is the final step for travel within 48 hours?

Contact Taxitics by call or WhatsApp to check availability and keep the booking unresolved until the service is accepted. A sent message alone is not a confirmed pickup.

Sharvind day tour 10/10! We did the half day tour with Sharvind and I think he is the best tour guide I have had in my years of travelling. He was super friendly, patient with us at each stop, always took time at each stop to tell us the meaning of the landmarks and was really informative and interesting to listen too, he took pictures for us and was overall a really really lovely person that we would happily go back to Fiji just to tour with him again. We travelled the yasawa islands for a week and yet our favourite time in Sydney was with Sharvind on his tour. I really hope he is able to get the recognition he deserves for the service he provides and I wish on anyone travelling to Fiji to make sure you book the day tour with him!

Many Kudos for Sharvind! Sharvind is a most gracious and knowledgable tour guide I am so glad to have met him. He is Fiji hospitality and adventure. What started as a transfer to my hotel in Coral Coast ended up cross-island Nadi-Suva, Colo-I-Suva and Sigatoka sand dunes, Taveuni/Savusavu/Labasa via ferry, and even a farm tour at Bulaccino. Whatever version of Fiji you want to see, he can make it happen. Highly recommend this company, glad to have made a friend on my first time in Fiji.

Highly recommend Amazing service! It was fantastic to be able to book and pay online before arriving in Fiji, making everything completely stress-free. Sharvind communicated every day to let us know he was on his way, so we always knew exactly when to expect him. What really made the experience special was that it was so much more than just a taxi service. As we travelled, Sharvind shared information about the places we were passing, the local culture, and life in Fiji, turning every journey into a mini tour. It made the drives genuinely enjoyable and helped us appreciate so much more of the country. Sharvind was friendly, professional, reliable and punctual throughout our trip. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone visiting Fiji and would absolutely book with him again.

Free day exploring Fiji Sharvind provided a very pleasant end of our trip as we returned from tokoriki and had a free day to explore the main island. Around to gardens, provided excellent background information, and took us to a small local village that he knew well. The locals made our trip! We got to enjoy some customer drinks and watched them perform a dance performance and then they brought us in and we got to join them. It felt very authentic and was a special part of Fiji.
